The Grand Ole Opry® today announced Nashville’s newest holiday tradition, Opry Country Christmas, will return to the Grand Ole Opry House for the second year in a row and feature special performances by Spotlight Artists and Opry members Lauren Alaina (Dec. 1) and Chris Janson (Dec. 11) as well as multi-platinum selling Country artist Scotty McCreery (Dec. 18). Tickets are on-sale now with special presale savings starting at $55.00 at opry.com. Hosted by Grammy®-winning Opry member Larry Gatlin, Opry Country Christmas will showcase songs of the holiday season beginning Nov. 27 and running through Dec. 22 for a total of nine shows. Each show features Opry members The Gatlin Brothers, Riders In The Sky, Mandy Barnett and Country Music Hall of Famer Charlie McCoy. Other Opry members, special guests, and spotlight artists will round out the shows made up of artists’ original songs and timeless Christmas favorites. In years past, the Opry traditionally moved to Ryman Auditorium during the winter months, November through January; however, the Opry began a new holiday tradition with the inaugural season of Opry Country Christmas in 2021 that featured performances of popular holiday songs like “’Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Silent Night” and more. All Opry Country Christmas shows air on WSM Radio as well as WSM and Opry digital platforms.
